Technical Corks
There are plenty of reasons why both winemakers and consumers believe natural
cork is the best way to seal wine bottles. We say the best reason of all is a
high quality and reliable seal that preserves or even enhances the subtle
flavours and characters of the wine. It is this unique manufacturing process of
the J-tec technical that cork offers you the winemaker all these benefits. That
means your wines reach the consumer just as you intend them - and just as they
prefer.
Since 2001, JFS in Portugal and JB Macmahon have been developing and fine
tuning their 1+1 technical cork which is now taking the Australian Wine Industry
by storm. This advanced and technically proven cork closure will be sold in
Australia under the J-tec brand.

JB Macmahon's Natural corks have superior sensory properties due to the DELFIN microwave process used in Portugal by JFS. This European technology has been further developed over the last few years and sensory results from tests carried out on tens of thousands of corks is proof of this improvement.
The unique printing, moisturising and especially the final treatment process carried out by
JB Macmahon gives the DELFIN cork its winning edge. JB Macmahon carries stock of all sizes and grades to meet your needs and our flexible production process allows us to best meet your bottling deadlines.
The JB Macmahon cork laboratory has specialist equipment and procedures required to ensure
all corks meet specifications before they are sent to the customer. JB Macmahon like to encourage both existing and new customers to visit our facilities to give them the confidence in our production and QA procedures.
Screw Caps
JB Macmahon are proud to launch Weincap screwcaps in Australia. The Weincap quality screwcap is well established in European markets
through their German manufacturer. Stock of Gold and Black plain screwcaps with the tin/saran liner will be available from mid September 2005.

Vintage Consumables
Oeno France has been propagating quality yeast strains for vinification since
the 1970’s, producing the Levuline and Ceres range of specialty dried natural
yeasts. Levuline and Ceres yeasts are the result of extensive laboratory testing
following a rigorous selection process by interprofessional organisations, CIVC,
INRA and regional Universities. These yeasts allow the winemaker to direct
fermentation to the way of choice to achieve specific aromas and mouthfeel.
